Internal Auditor

Role Overview

This Internal Audit role helps the organisation assess whether its processes, records and controls are working as intended. The successful candidate will review business activities, identify risks or control gaps, and communicate findings clearly so that teams can strengthen accuracy and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine operational and financial processes to assess compliance with internal controls and established procedures.
• Review supporting documents and records for accuracy, completeness and consistency.
• Identify control weaknesses, potential risks and areas where processes could be improved.
• Organise audit evidence and maintain clear, accurate working papers.
• Analyse findings and prepare concise reports for relevant stakeholders.
• Discuss audit observations with staff and communicate recommendations effectively.
• Use Microsoft Office tools to analyse information, document work and present results.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
• At least three years of experience in Internal Audit.
• Professional certification in accounting, auditing or risk management is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to accurate work.
• Kenyan citizenship is preferred.
