Job Title: Audit Support Associate

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Audit Support Associate to assist our audit team in collecting financial and operational data, preparing reports, and managing audit documentation. The ideal candidate will ensure all audit records are accurately maintained and accessible, while providing administrative support to facilitate smooth audit engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist auditors in collecting financial and operational data required for audit reviews.
  • Assist in the preparation and formatting of audit reports and documentation.
  • Assist in scheduling audit engagements and coordinating communication with departments.
  • Maintain and organize audit documentation including working papers and audit reports.
  • Compile documentation and records required during audit engagements.
  • Ensure audit documentation is properly indexed and accessible.
  • Ensure proper filing and safe custody of audit records.
  • Maintain records of audit findings and follow-up actions.
  • Maintain registers of audit engagements and audit documentation.
  • Provide administrative support during internal audit engagements.
  • Support logistics for audit activities.

Minimum Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least two (2) years of relevant experience in accounting and/or audit support.

Professional Certification

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Part II or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
  • Membership with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya or Institute of Internal Auditors Kenya (IIA - Kenya) or a relevant professional body will be an added advantage.
