IT Services & Infrastructure Officer

The IT Services & Infrastructure Officer owns the technology backbone that keeps warehouse and office operations running without interruption — from power and connectivity through to the systems staff depend on every shift. The role blends hands-on infrastructure work, front-line support and supervision of a small IT team, so the day moves between network gear, CCTV storage, warehouse terminals and the people who rely on them. Done well, this position means fewer downtime incidents, faster fixes when something does break, and a secure, well-documented environment that keeps pace with the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep power, network and internet connectivity stable across every location — managing LAN/WAN links, routers, switches, firewalls, UPS units and backup power, and liaising with ISPs to track and improve uptime.
• Administer the warehouse technology stack, including the WMS, handheld scanners, label and document printers and associated equipment, providing prompt on-site troubleshooting during peak operating periods when downtime is most costly.
• Provision, configure, maintain and retire office devices such as computers, printers and network hardware, and manage assets through their full device lifecycle.
• Operate and maintain CCTV infrastructure, confirming that footage records reliably, is stored securely and can be retrieved quickly, and pulling surveillance data to support investigations when required.
• Control user access end to end: create and close accounts, adjust permissions for role changes, run onboarding and offboarding, and enforce password and access standards that keep unauthorised users out.
• Resolve day-to-day IT support requests from office and warehouse colleagues within agreed SLA timelines, and coordinate the wider IT support workload across the team.
• Supervise and support IT staff, setting priorities and stepping in on complex escalations.
• Train employees on internal systems, e-commerce platforms and warehouse tools, and develop SOPs and user guides that improve system adoption and reduce repeat errors.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure or support roles.
• Proven experience supporting multi-site IT environments; exposure to warehouse or other operational settings is highly preferred.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting ability across both networking and hardware.
• Confident working with routers, switches and firewalls.
• Familiarity with power backup systems such as UPS units and generators.
• Practical experience maintaining CCTV systems.
• Basic-to-solid knowledge of IT security practice and access control.
• Strong execution focus and problem-solving judgement, with the ability to supervise a small team.
