We are seeking a proactive Human Resource Officer to anchor the day-to-day operations of our HR department. Your role is pivotal in bridging the gap between high-level business objectives and practical talent management strategies. You will act as a strategic partner to senior management, providing guidance on workforce planning and change management while ensuring that all internal policies remain strictly compliant with Kenyan labor laws. This position is designed for an HR professional who is passionate about cultivating a productive workplace culture and driving organizational growth through structured performance management and conflict resolution.
Strategic HR & Performance Management
Collaborate with leadership to implement HR strategies that directly support the company’s manufacturing goals.
Direct the performance management lifecycle, identifying training needs and facilitating succession planning.
Provide expert guidance on workforce planning and support the organization through transition and change management initiatives.
Prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders regarding HR activities, KPIs, and expected organizational outcomes.
Compliance & Policy Governance
Conduct rigorous reviews of HR templates, including employment contracts and job descriptions, to ensure total compliance with local regulations.
Oversee the accurate maintenance of employee records and the consistent implementation of HR policies.
Monitor industry regulations to ensure the manufacturing plant’s HR practices remain modern and legally sound.
Implement and track feedback mechanisms to foster a transparent and positive workplace culture.
Employee Relations & Talent Support
Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations, managing conflict resolution and disciplinary actions with fairness and consistency.
Facilitate recruitment and onboarding processes to support organizational growth.
Build strong relationships across all levels of the factory floor and management to influence positive stakeholders' engagement.
Utilize analytical skills to solve complex personnel issues and improve overall operational efficiency.
The Essentials
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Domain Expertise: Minimum of 3 years of HR experience specifically within the manufacturing, production, or engineering sectors.
Legal Proficiency: A robust understanding of Kenyan employment laws and regulatory requirements.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, and modern HRIS tools.
