Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all leave requests for direct staff, verifying balances, approvals, and accurate documentation.
  • Coordinate the complete onboarding journey for new employees, including timely contract preparation and orientation scheduling.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for employee concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution to maintain a healthy work environment.
  • Drive the performance appraisal cycle for direct reports, tracking goals, feedback, and improvement plans.
  • Maintain meticulous HR records spanning personnel files, attendance logs, training history, and other critical employee data.
  • Validate payroll inputs such as timesheets, salary changes, and statutory deductions to ensure timely and accurate compensation.
  • Keep employment practices aligned with Kenyan labor regulations and internal policies, proactively updating procedures as laws evolve.
  • Strengthen client retention by delivering high-quality HR support, anticipating operational needs, and building lasting trust with client stakeholders.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • At least three years of hands-on experience in an HR practitioner or operations role within a fast-paced business environment.
  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline from a recognized institution; a master's degree is a distinct advantage.
  • Solid command of Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and HRMIS platforms for daily productivity and data management.
  • Strong planning and time-management abilities, with a track record of juggling multiple priorities without losing accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, plus the confidence to interact with employees at every level.
  • A problem-solving mindset, capable of diagnosing operational bottlenecks and implementing practical fixes quickly.
  • Working knowledge of Kenya's employment laws and statutory requirements is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ownership of outcomes, a results-driven attitude, and the ability to inspire teamwork and embrace change.
