Job Summary
The HR Assistant – Admin & Performance Management will support the HR team in managing staff attendance, new‑staff induction, performance evaluations, and related HR duties. You will report to the Human Resources Assistant – Lead and play a key role in maintaining accurate HR records and ensuring smooth HR operations across the company.
Key Responsibilities

Manage daily attendance and leave schedules and generate regular reports.

Prepare and issue employment contracts to new employees and renew existing contracts.

Advertise job vacancies, conduct interviews and recruitments, and conduct new‑employee inductions.

Coordinate monthly performance evaluations and appraisals for employees.

Maintain employee files and ensure all statutory documents are in place.

Answer phone calls, handle inquiries, and provide information to job applicants following HR procedures.

Handle Health and Safety matters, including filling DOSH forms, organizing first‑aid training, and fire drills.

Maintain up‑to‑date HR data and prepare weekly and monthly HR reports for management.

Issue rewards, warnings, and termination letters as directed.

Counsel employees on HR policies, procedures, and practices.

Support floor supervisors with training topics on working Saturdays.

Monitor the performance evaluation process and KPIs.

Ensure proper HR process documentation and record‑keeping.
Qualifications
-
Diploma/Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management.

1–2 years of HR administrative experience in a busy HR environment.

Experience in performance management and staff appraisals.

Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP).

Knowledge of Kenyan labour laws.

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.

Team‑oriented and able to work cross‑functionally with minimal supervision.
