Job Title: HR Assistant – Admin & Performance Management

Job Summary

The HR Assistant – Admin & Performance Management will support the HR team in managing staff attendance, new‑staff induction, performance evaluations, and related HR duties. You will report to the Human Resources Assistant – Lead and play a key role in maintaining accurate HR records and ensuring smooth HR operations across the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily attendance and leave schedules and generate regular reports.

  • Prepare and issue employment contracts to new employees and renew existing contracts.

  • Advertise job vacancies, conduct interviews and recruitments, and conduct new‑employee inductions.

  • Coordinate monthly performance evaluations and appraisals for employees.

  • Maintain employee files and ensure all statutory documents are in place.

  • Answer phone calls, handle inquiries, and provide information to job applicants following HR procedures.

  • Handle Health and Safety matters, including filling DOSH forms, organizing first‑aid training, and fire drills.

  • Maintain up‑to‑date HR data and prepare weekly and monthly HR reports for management.

  • Issue rewards, warnings, and termination letters as directed.

  • Counsel employees on HR policies, procedures, and practices.

  • Support floor supervisors with training topics on working Saturdays.

  • Monitor the performance evaluation process and KPIs.

  • Ensure proper HR process documentation and record‑keeping.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management.

  • 1–2 years of HR administrative experience in a busy HR environment.

  • Experience in performance management and staff appraisals.

  • Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP).

  • Knowledge of Kenyan labour laws.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.

  • Team‑oriented and able to work cross‑functionally with minimal supervision.

  • High level of professional integrity and confidentiality.
