Role Overview
This HR Assistant position sits within the busy HR department of a construction company operating across the UAE, supporting the full employee lifecycle from recruitment through to offboarding. Day to day, you will keep personnel records accurate and accessible, coordinate interview logistics for site and office roles, and act as the first point of contact for employee questions about policies, leave, and documentation. The role matters because construction teams rely on fast, organised HR support to keep projects staffed and compliant with UAE labour regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and maintain employee files, contracts, passport copies, visa documents, and leave records, ensuring everything is current and correctly filed.
- Assist with end-to-end recruitment coordination, including posting vacancies, screening incoming applications, scheduling interviews with hiring managers, and sending candidate communications.
- Prepare official letters and correspondence such as employment certificates, salary certificates, warning letters, and internal memos as requested by HR leadership.
- Support new joiners through the onboarding process, arranging induction sessions, collecting required documents, and setting up basic HR system profiles.
- Respond to employee enquiries regarding attendance, payroll-related documentation, company policies, and HR procedures, escalating complex matters to senior HR staff.
- Maintain physical and digital filing systems with strict confidentiality, ensuring data protection standards are met at all times.
- Assist in organising HR events, training sessions, and employee engagement activities as needed.
- Handle general administrative duties such as preparing meeting materials, managing HR inbox correspondence, and liaising with government service providers when required.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- At least 0–2 years of experience in HR or administration; fresh graduates with strong internship exposure are welcome to apply.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word for document production, Excel for tracking employee data, PowerPoint for presentations, and Outlook for email management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate professionally with employees at all levels.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to handling sensitive employee information with discretion.
- Currently available inside the UAE and able to join immediately.
What We Offer / Why Join
- A competitive compensation package aligned with UAE market standards for HR support roles.
- Access to structured training and development programs to grow your HR expertise within the construction sector.
- Clear opportunities for career advancement as the company continues to expand its operations.
- A professional, collaborative work environment where HR practices are valued and continuously improved.
- Annual leave, public holidays, and other entitlements in line with UAE Labour Law.
- Medical insurance coverage as per company policy.
