Role Overview
This remote full-time HR Assistant role supports a growing BPO/digital services team by owning the virtual people operations that keep a distributed workforce running smoothly. Day to day, you will coordinate hiring workflows from resume screening to contract issuance, guide new hires through digital onboarding, maintain accurate HR records, and serve as the first point of contact for employee questions on policies, leave, and performance. Your work directly shapes how smoothly the company scales, reduces administrative bottlenecks, and keeps employees engaged while working from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Post open positions across job boards and internal channels, screen incoming resumes, coordinate interview schedules with candidates and hiring managers, and keep all candidate communication timely and professional.
- Run the full virtual onboarding journey for new employees: collect compliance documents, verify identity and contract paperwork, set up digital workspace accounts, and provide clear guidance on tools and policies.
- Prepare accurate offer letters, employment contracts, and introductory documentation, ensuring every new hire has a clear and consistent start.
- Own the HRIS and digital filing systems, updating employee profiles, tracking document expirations, and preserving confidential records with high standards of data integrity.
- Monitor remote attendance and leave submissions, reconcile leave balances, and generate monthly HR metrics for management decision-making.
- Support the quarterly performance appraisal cycle by scheduling review meetings, recording feedback, and maintaining training and development logs.
- Respond to routine employee inquiries about company guidelines, leave entitlements, and workplace procedures, escalating concerns only when necessary.
- Assist with engagement initiatives such as internal announcements, pulse surveys, virtual team-building activities, and recognition programs.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of hands-on HR administration, talent coordination, or generalist experience in a structured corporate environment.
- Prior experience in a BPO, tech-led, or fully remote operational setting is a strong plus, because you will already understand virtual collaboration and shift-based workforce realities.
- Confident use of HR Information Systems (HRIS), digital workspace suites such as Microsoft Office 365 or Google Workspace, and CRM tools for tracking candidates and employees.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate professionally and clearly across email, chat, and video calls.
- Proven discretion when handling sensitive employee information, paired with sound judgement and ethical decision-making.
- Strong personal organisation, self-management, and prioritisation skills, with a proactive approach to solving routine HR problems independently.
