Role Overview
As an HR Generalist, you will be the operational anchor for the entire employee lifecycle — from identifying talent to managing the administrative backbone that keeps people data accurate and payroll running smoothly. Working closely with managers and employees alike, you'll ensure every hire is properly onboarded, every absence is correctly recorded, and every HR process is compliant with current labour regulations. Your attention to detail directly shapes the employee experience and protects the organisation from compliance risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end recruitment cycle, including drafting job advertisements, posting to relevant job boards, and sourcing candidates through multiple channels.
- Manage candidate communication from first review to final offer — scheduling interviews, gathering feedback, and issuing offer letters or rejection notices in a professional manner.
- Coordinate onboarding and induction sessions for new starters, preparing contracts, introducing policies, and ensuring all pre-employment checks are completed before day one.
- Maintain accurate HR records across the employee database, updating personal details, contract changes, and any documentation required for audit purposes.
- Support the payroll process by collecting attendance data, verifying timesheets, and flagging any discrepancies to the payroll team before deadlines.
- Administer leave and attendance policies, processing requests, updating balances, and generating absence reports for management reviews.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of hands-on HR experience, with proven exposure to recruitment, onboarding, and day-to-day HR administration.
- Practical proficiency in HRIS systems and the full MS Office suite, particularly Excel for data management and reporting.
- Solid working knowledge of applicable labour laws, including employment contracts, statutory contributions, and termination protocols.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact confidently with candidates, employees, and management.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee data.
