Job Summary
We are seeking a highly disciplined, thorough Housekeeper to maintain the elite cleanliness and aesthetic presentation of our guest accommodations and public spaces. Your primary objective is to execute flawless daily room turn-downs, ensuring every guest space is deeply sanitized, styled, and fully stocked with premium amenities before check-ins. This role bridges meticulous physical upkeep with responsive guest hospitality — you will handle delicate linens, manage specialized chemical applications safely, and report room maintenance requirements immediately to engineering teams. The ideal candidate is a trustworthy, high-stamina individual with a keen eye for subtle structural details and the ability to operate efficiently under strict room turnover timelines.
Scope of Responsibilities
Accommodation Presentation & Deep Cleaning
- Strip, launder, and remake guest bedding using precise hospital corners; replace all room towels and guest consumables to brand benchmarks.
- Vacuum upholstery, dust hidden fixtures, scrub bathroom tiles, and disinfect hard flooring across all assigned guest quarters daily.
- Audit finished rooms systematically, confirming that electronics, lighting arrays, and plumbing fixtures function perfectly before guest arrivals.
- Execute specialized deep-cleaning schedules for check-out rooms, erasing trace stains and structural scuffs smoothly.
Common Domain Upkeep & Sanitation
- Sweep, mop, and polish main corridors, reception counters, structural stairways, public washrooms, and staff rest areas.
- Empty all facility waste receptacles methodically, ensuring correct sorting and disposal of rubbish into external collection zones.
- Sanitize high-touch surfaces continuously throughout shifts, including elevator buttons, door handles, and check-in desks.
Linen Coordination & Supply Management
- Sort, wash, iron, and fold bulk hotel linens, sheets, and staff uniforms within the laundry area when rostered.
- Track housekeeping carts, monitoring chemical volumes, microfibre cloths, and soap stocks; flag shortages to supervisors early.
- Handle industrial detergents, floor buffers, and commercial vacuum machinery responsibly to avoid asset damage.
Guest Support & Regulatory Safety
- Fulfill custom guest requests for extra pillows, specific toiletries, or room refreshes promptly with a warm, professional demeanor.
- Document and log items left behind by guests into the central database, adhering strictly to secure lost-and-found tracking protocols.
- Implement strict occupational safety standards by placing visible hazard signage during wet cleaning processes to protect foot traffic.
Skills & Experience Required
Minimum Entry Criteria
- Academic Foundation: Basic certificate training in Housekeeping, Laundry Operations, Hospitality Management, or a matching field is a distinct advantage.
- Sector Longevity: Minimum of 2 years of progressive, hands-on experience performing structural housekeeping duties inside a busy hotel, serviced apartment block, or reputable guest house.
- Sanitation Knowledge: Clear understanding of hospitality cleaning procedures, chemical dilution scales, and public health codes.
- Roster Flexibility: Total willingness to work dynamic shifts, encompassing early mornings, late weekends, and public holidays based on occupancy levels.
