Job Description

Job Title: Hotel Supervisor
Salary: KShs. 25,000 – 30,000 (Gross, based on experience)
Location: Gatundu
Employment Type: Full‑time
Experience Level: Mid-level (minimum 2–4 years)
Education: Diploma or Degree in Hospitality / Hotel Management or related field

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Hotel Supervisor to oversee daily hotel operations at our Gatundu property. The ideal candidate will coordinate front office, housekeeping, and support staff, ensuring smooth service delivery and high guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Supervise daily operations across front office, housekeeping, and guest services.

  • Ensure all departments function efficiently and follow hotel standards.

  • Monitor room occupancy, bookings, and guest flow.

Customer Service

  • Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction and comfort.

  • Handle guest complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly.

  • Maintain a welcoming, hospitable, and professional environment.

Staff Supervision

  • Supervise, train, and support hotel staff to ensure productivity and professionalism.

  • Prepare staff schedules and ensure adequate shift coverage.

  • Monitor staff performance and enforce discipline where appropriate.

Inventory & Cost Control

  • Oversee stock levels for housekeeping and operational supplies.

  • Work with the store/cost‑control team to manage usage.

  • Minimize wastage and help control operational costs.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure health, safety, and hygiene standards are met.

  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of hotel facilities.

  • Comply with internal policies and local regulations.

Reporting

  • Prepare daily and weekly operational reports.

  • Report maintenance, operational, or staff issues to management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or related field.

  • Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in a hotel or hospitality environment.

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or team‑leadership role.

  • Good understanding of front office, housekeeping (F&B experience is an added advantage).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
