Role Overview
We are seeking a highly aggressive, network-connected HORECA Sales Representative to spearhead the market expansion and volume placement of our premium packed juice portfolio. Your primary objective is to drive revenue velocity, optimal product visibility, and full SKU listings across high-value hotels, restaurants, premium cafés, corporate lounges, bars, and entertainment clubs. This position bridges high-stakes commercial negotiation with field-level trade marketing; you will manage everything from building strong relationships with culinary procurement officers and bar managers to coordinating point-of-sale setups and executing strict invoice collections. The role calls for an ambitious, mobile sales professional with a valid driving license who holds deep commercial knowledge of Nairobi’s competitive hospitality landscape.
Areas of Accountability
Commercial Volume Growth & Pipeline Penetration
- Map, approach, and convert new hospitality targets across the assigned territory to hit monthly and quarterly volume goals.
- Negotiate profitable product listings, price margins, and exclusive supplier agreements with restaurant chefs, procurement officers, and beverage managers.
- Secure maximum back-bar stock levels, menu placements, and premier shelf placement across all onboarded locations.
- Pitch the cost-efficiency, consistency, and premium quality parameters of the packed juice lines to high-volume commercial buyers.
Strategic Relationship & Channel Care
- Cultivate and insulate solid, long-term trade partnerships with distributor networks, food and beverage directors, and hospitality decision-makers.
- Run a methodical, routing schedule of structured field visits across active channels to verify immediate stock levels and handle reorders.
- Navigate and resolve client service issues, delivery discrepancies, or product questions with immediate speed and professionalism.
- Monitor account health closely to spot opportunities for upselling larger packaging sizes or introducing alternative juice flavors.
Brand Activation & Trade Merchandising
- Coordinate and execute high-impact, in-venue sampling activities, consumer tasting events, and custom brand activations.
- Supervise visual merchandising standards, ensuring point-of-sale (POS) materials, coolers, and product shelves look immaculate.
- Align field execution pipelines with corporate marketing schedules to drive promotional themes during peak hospitality seasons.
- Optimize corporate visibility inside dining domains and high-traffic bar arenas to increase immediate customer recall.
Cash Operations & Territory Intelligence
- Oversee order management lines, tracking consignments from regional warehouses to direct client delivery windows.
- Partner with internal credit control desks to monitor payment terms, manage customer balances, and secure timely cash collections.
- Monitor competitor pricing adjustments, active promotional trade discounts, and fresh product launches to supply intelligence back to management.
- Maintain clean daily updates within the tracking platform, detailing finished site calls, active pipelines, and exact revenue outcomes.
Skills & Experience Required
Minimum Entry Criteria
- Academic Foundation: Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a matching commercial track.
- Industry Longevity: Minimum of 2 to 4 years of progressive, verified performance operating within B2B beverage sales, consumer goods (FMCG), or explicit HORECA channels.
- Territory Familiarity: Solid operational understanding of the Nairobi hospitality ecosystem, with established professional access to regional beverage procurement pools.
- Legal Mobility: Possession of a valid, clean Kenyan driving license is a strict, mandatory prerequisite for execution.
