Job Description

Role Overview

This is a structured leadership-track position for early-to-mid career professionals who want to build a long-term future in container shipping. Over the course of the program, you will rotate through commercial, operational, and corporate functions, gaining hands-on exposure to vessel management, inland logistics, equipment control, and strategic projects. Each rotation is designed to be meaningful—you will own real deliverables while developing the cross-functional judgment needed to grow into a senior leader within the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inland transport, port operations, feeder movements, and transshipment activities to keep cargo flowing smoothly across the network.
  • Monitor vessel schedules and service reliability, tracking operational KPIs and flagging deviations that could impact customers or costs.
  • Support equipment control by managing empty repositioning, stock levels, and container availability across key locations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, terminals, agents, and customers to resolve operational disruptions such as delays, rerouting, or equipment shortages.
  • Ensure all activities comply with safety, dangerous goods (DG), port, and customs regulations, helping to maintain a compliant and safe operation.
  • Take on increasing levels of ownership for day-to-day execution across commercial, operational, and corporate assignments, adapting quickly to new teams and geographies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in daily workflows, using data and feedback to propose practical solutions.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering, Economics, or a related field from a reputable university.
  • 3–8 years of professional work experience, ideally in shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, or a similarly fast-paced supply chain environment.
  • Genuine interest in building a long-term career in the maritime or logistics industry, with openness to functional rotations and possible geographic mobility.
  • Strong command of spoken and written English, with clear and concise communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and a diligent approach to accuracy—especially when handling schedules, documentation, or operational data.
  • Solid PC skills, including proficiency with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Gmail) or equivalent productivity tools.
  • Good organizational and time management abilities, capable of prioritizing multiple tasks and working under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving mindset, teamwork, and planning skills, plus a willingness to challenge the status quo and support innovation.
  • Certification or training in dangerous goods (DG) processing is preferred, though not mandatory.
