Role Overview
This role blends geospatial analysis, sales operations, and data engineering to help the business decide where to invest, which markets to pursue, and how to strengthen coverage. Day to day, you will turn location data and sales records into practical guidance on territory design, distributor performance, customer targeting, and forecasting. The work matters because it gives sales, marketing, and leadership teams a reliable, integrated view of growth opportunities and operational gaps.
Key Responsibilities
- Use GIS and spatial analysis to uncover market opportunities, customer clusters, coverage gaps, and areas where sales presence is weak or overlapping.
- Evaluate sales results by region, distributor, customer, product, and channel to reveal trends, outliers, and performance gaps.
- Create market and customer intelligence that informs market penetration, customer acquisition, retention, and expansion strategies.
- Build, maintain, and refine GIS, Power BI, and business intelligence dashboards that support performance monitoring and day-to-day decision-making.
- Apply statistical and predictive analytics to sales forecasting, demand analysis, and target planning.
- Redesign sales territories, distributor coverage, customer assignments, and routes using spatial and sales data.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, data models, and integrations between GIS, BI tools, and enterprise systems such as CRM, ERP, or sales databases.
- Work with sales, marketing, IT, and data teams to translate business questions into analytical solutions and ensure integrated, reliable reporting.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, data science, or a related discipline.
- Several years of experience in GIS, sales analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering.
- Proficiency with GIS platforms (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar) and spatial data.
- Strong Power BI dashboard development and data visualization skills.
- Solid IT/data engineering background: SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT, API integration, and system integration between GIS, BI, and business applications.
- Experience with statistical and predictive analytics for forecasting, demand planning, and target setting.
- Ability to analyze sales performance across regions, distributors, customers, products, and channels.
- Familiarity with territory optimization, distributor coverage, customer allocation, and route planning using GIS and sales data.
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
