Description:
A leading geospatial solutions provider is currently hiring skilled GIS Specialists to support a major client project in Abu Dhabi. This role focuses on 2D base map maintenance, spatial data management, and enterprise-level geospatial operations using ArcGIS technologies. The position is strictly on-site and requires professionals with strong technical GIS expertise and hands-on experience in data editing and spatial analysis.
The selected candidate will contribute to maintaining high-quality geospatial datasets, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting enterprise GIS workflows within a large-scale operational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain, update, and manage 2D base maps with high accuracy and consistency.
• Perform feature editing, spatial adjustments, and topology correction tasks.
• Validate spatial data and ensure integrity through structured QA/QC processes.
• Manage and maintain large geospatial datasets within ArcGIS Enterprise environments.
• Produce high-quality maps, layouts, and cartographic outputs for reporting and analysis.
• Support geospatial data workflows and ensure compliance with data standards.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy, reliability, and completeness of GIS data.
• Collaborate with technical teams to support enterprise GIS operations and data requirements.
• Assist in maintaining organized geospatial databases and documentation.
• Ensure timely delivery of mapping and spatial data products as per project requirements.
Requirements:
• Strong hands-on experience working with ArcGIS Pro.
• Proven experience in ArcGIS Enterprise environments.
• Solid understanding of GIS data models, spatial relationships, and editing workflows.
• Experience in cartography, spatial data management, and QA/QC processes.
• Ability to handle large-scale geospatial datasets efficiently.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in project-based or enterprise GIS environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of data accuracy standards and geospatial best practices.
Advantageous Skills:
• Knowledge of Python scripting and ArcPy automation.
• Experience in geospatial automation and workflow optimization.
Additional Information:
• This is an on-site role based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
• Candidates must be able to work directly at client premises.
