A reputable organization in Dubai is looking to hire a qualified General Accountant with a strong background in UAE accounting practices. This role is ideal for professionals who can independently manage accounting functions while ensuring accuracy and compliance with local financial regulations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, handling daily accounting operations, preparing reports, and supporting audit activities. Applicants with solid UAE VAT knowledge and excellent accounting software skills are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily accounting transactions and financial activities.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Prepare invoices, receipts, and payment documentation.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain general ledgers.
• Assist with monthly and annual financial closing activities.
• Prepare financial reports and statements.
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards and VAT regulations.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide support during audit processes.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of UAE VAT regulations and accounting practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Candidates currently available in the UAE will be preferred.
