Role Overview
This role sits at the intersection of finance and operations, focusing on end-to-end business process management across farming, lake, logistics, and sales activities. Day to day, the position involves driving financial planning, cost-saving initiatives, and investment oversight while spending significant time on-site at farms and logistics centres to deeply understand operational realities. The work is critical to ensuring that financial controls, budgeting, and performance indicators align with the company’s growth and efficiency goals across multiple countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and continuously improve end-to-end business processes across farm, lake, logistics, and sales operations to ensure consistency and control.
- Lead financial planning and analysis efforts, providing data-driven insights that support strategic decisions and business expansion.
- Identify and execute cost-reduction opportunities in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and sales.
- Develop and track key performance indicators that measure both operational effectiveness and financial health.
- Serve as the financial co-pilot for major investment decisions at farms, logistics hubs, and sales channels, evaluating ROI and risk.
- Oversee international procurement processes, focusing on cost savings and efficient shipment scheduling.
- Contribute key operational and financial inputs to budgeting, forecasting, and regular reporting cycles.
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal policies, working closely with audit and enterprise risk teams.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
- CPA-K or ACCA certification is required.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in operational finance, with a proven track record of managing results alongside budget owners and business stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience implementing systems and methods that enforce internal controls, checks, and balances.
- Strong team collaboration skills and sensitivity to organisational dynamics; able to navigate cross-functional relationships effectively.
- Demonstrated business partnering ability, with a commitment to ethical and disciplined financial practices.
- Self-starting, proactive attitude with a willingness to challenge existing processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, capable of engaging stakeholders at all organisational levels.
- Preferred background in finance within FMCG or the agriculture sector.
