Job Title: Field Service Engineer – High-Speed Rotary Labeling Machine
Your Opportunity
Sidel is seeking a self-motivated Field Service Engineer (FSE) specializing in high-speed rotary labeling machine technology. In this role, you will perform installation, startup, commissioning, and testing of Sidel equipment at customer sites worldwide.
Your Mission
- Execute installation, startup, commissioning, and testing of high-speed rotary labeling machines at customer locations.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for mechatronic systems, including both hardware and software.
- Travel extensively domestically and internationally (up to 90% of the time) to customer sites.
- Maintain high-level communication and reporting internally to Sidel management and externally to customers.
- Diagnose and resolve PLC-related and software-related issues efficiently.
Your Profile
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of field service experience with high-speed rotary labeling machines.
Education
- Graduate degree in Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent technical field.
Technical Skills
- Knowledgeable with PLC systems: Siemens, B&R, ELAU.
- Skilled in diagnosing and resolving both hardware and software problems (must-have).
- Knowledge of cold glue, PSL, and hot melt systems is a plus.
- Experience in the beverage industry (RGB) is an advantage.
Soft Skills & Requirements
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); good reporting skills.
- Able to travel up to 90% of the time, including domestic and international assignments.
- Self-motivated with strong communication abilities.
