Role Overview
This position is centred on expanding revenue by winning and growing enterprise-level and institutional accounts. You will be the primary commercial link between the company and its most valuable clients, moving deals forward through face-to-face engagement, consultative selling, and disciplined pipeline management. Your daily focus is on understanding each client’s operational needs, matching them with the right product solutions, and guiding negotiations to a successful close while protecting long-term account health.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively map and pursue high-potential corporate and institutional prospects, turning cold outreach into warm conversations and qualified opportunities.
- Conduct scheduled on-site visits with existing and prospective clients, building trust with procurement teams and senior decision-makers.
- Tailor product presentations and solution demonstrations to address each client’s specific operational challenges and buying criteria.
- Source new leads through field activity, direct referrals, industry networking, and strategic follow-up on dormant or under-served accounts.
- Prepare accurate quotations, commercial proposals, and bid documentation, then track each submission through to client feedback and negotiation.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to secure high-value contracts while protecting company margins and service standards.
- Maintain a clearly organised sales pipeline, updating opportunity stages, anticipated close dates, and forecasted values on a consistent basis.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to order confirmation, coordinating with internal fulfilment and logistics teams to ensure smooth handover.
- Record all client interactions, meeting notes, and next steps in the CRM, producing regular reports on visit activity, conversion rates, and revenue projections.
- Monitor competitor activity and broader market developments, flagging trends that could inform pricing, product positioning, or new business focus areas.
- Protect and nurture existing accounts, identifying expansion opportunities, contract renewals, and referral paths that generate repeat revenue.
- Serve as a professional ambassador during site visits, executive briefings, and industry functions, reinforcing the company’s credibility and reputation.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business administration, commerce, or a directly related discipline.
- At least three years of proven success in B2B, corporate, institutional, or consultative sales environments, ideally with a track record of winning large-value contracts.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and qualify leads, nurture executive relationships, and convert complex opportunities into closed business.
- Strong commercial negotiation skills with the confidence to handle procurement objections, price discussions, and contract terms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including polished presentation delivery for senior audiences.
- Well-developed networking ability, with an existing network or the resourcefulness to build one across target sectors.
- Solid understanding of sales methodologies, CRM platforms, pipeline management, and reporting discipline.
- Valid driver’s licence and a safe, professional driving record, with a willingness to travel extensively for client meetings.
- Highly self-motivated and target-driven, comfortable working independently without constant supervision.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to follow-ups and administrative duties.
