Role Overview
This position sits at the front line of keeping electronic queue management systems (EQMS) available and dependable for client organisations. On a typical day you will be moving between scheduled installation work, remote fault-fixing, and on-site visits to diagnose kiosks, ticket printers, displays, and the servers behind them, making sure each deployment performs within the service commitments we have agreed with the customer. Because these systems are customer-facing, the speed and quality of your work directly shape how our clients' own users experience their service, and it is one of the most visible measures of our technical reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and commission EQMS hardware and software at new client sites, including kiosks, ticket printers, display units, and supporting servers.
- Handle incoming technical incidents at first- and second-line level, resolving them either remotely or in person depending on what the fault requires.
- Investigate and fix problems across hardware, application software, and network connectivity, escalating where a fault falls outside scope.
- Carry out routine preventive maintenance schedules and corrective repairs, including swapping out failed or end-of-life equipment.
- Contribute to system integration work, version upgrades, and rollout projects alongside the wider technical team.
- Keep service records, technical documentation, and incident reports accurate and up to date after every job.
- Represent the company professionally with clients, including walking end users through system operation and providing basic training where needed.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
- At least two years working in IT support, systems installation, or ICT infrastructure roles.
- Solid grounding in computer hardware, Windows operating systems, and networking fundamentals.
- Practical, hands-on familiarity with printers, kiosks, display units, and diagnosing faults on local area networks.
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, Microsoft, or ITIL are an advantage rather than a requirement.
- Exposure to EQMS environments, SQL or database support, or systems integration work is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical approach to troubleshooting, with the patience to work a problem through to root cause.
- Clear communication and a genuine customer service orientation when dealing with clients and end users.
- Able to work unsupervised on your own assignments while cooperating closely with colleagues on shared projects.
- Willing and able to travel frequently and to work outside standard hours when the job demands it.
- Dependable and adaptable, comfortable adjusting to the different environments and expectations of each client site.
What We Offer / Why Join
- Structured mentorship and on-the-job training to build your EQMS and field service capability.
- Exposure to leading security technologies as part of your day-to-day work.
- Opportunities for professional growth and continuous learning.
- A supportive and collaborative working environment.
