Job Description

Role Overview

This role leads the practical delivery and expansion of digital health initiatives in Kenya, working across government, technology partners, and Living Goods teams. It helps ensure that digital tools are technically sound, ready for use, adopted by frontline teams, and improved over time to strengthen community health services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the design, testing, rollout, and ongoing improvement of community health digital systems with government counterparts, implementation partners, and internal teams.
  • Plan and track delivery activities, milestones, and decisions through implementation meetings, technical sessions, and progress reviews.
  • Review system designs, configurations, integrations, workflows, reports, and dashboards with national and county stakeholders to confirm they meet operational needs.
  • Coordinate launch readiness, including deployment schedules, infrastructure checks, training preparation, user support, and handover arrangements.
  • Monitor delivery risks, issues, and dependencies; work with relevant government, county, partner, and Living Goods teams to resolve them or escalate when needed.
  • Prepare and present regular Kenya digital health updates, including weekly and monthly reports on progress, performance, and emerging challenges.
  • Build effective working relationships with government agencies, donors, implementing organizations, and technology partners, and represent Living Goods in relevant meetings and national technical working groups.
  • Work with engineering, innovation, government, and partner teams to prioritize product improvements, capture implementation lessons, and apply them to better system design and delivery.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, health informatics, information systems, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5–7 years of professional experience in digital health, health systems strengthening, ICT for development, or large-scale digital transformation.
  • At least 3–5 years managing digital health or ICT implementation programmes involving government stakeholders.
  • Practical experience supporting the deployment and operational management of large digital platforms used by frontline workers or public service delivery programmes.
  • Experience working with national and county government bodies, development partners, donors, and implementing organizations.
  • Working knowledge of digital health ecosystems, government structures, product development, software implementation lifecycles, and digital support models.
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to analyze performance data, manage delivery risks, and coordinate across teams.
  • Clear communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; strategic thinking, adaptability, integrity, and the ability to support change and build effective teams.
  • Certifications in areas such as ITIL, PMP, PRINCE2, Agile or Scrum, data analytics, or AI are relevant.
