Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to diagnose, prevent, and treat oral health conditions. The successful candidate will improve patients’ dental hygiene and overall well-being by performing routine check-ups, restorative procedures, and educating patients on proper oral care. This role requires a commitment to high-quality clinical practice and patient-centered service.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of oral health conditions, including caries, periodontal disease, and oral infections.
- Perform routine dental examinations, cleanings, and preventive care procedures.
- Carry out restorative treatments such as fillings, crowns, bridges, and extractions.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, dietary habits, and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate patient records, treatment plans, and clinical documentation.
- Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment.
- Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and administrative staff to deliver seamless patient care.
- Stay current with developments in dentistry and apply best practices in treatment.
Qualifications (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in dental surgery from a recognized university.
- Registered and with a valid license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
- Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- At least one year of post-internship experience in either a public or private hospital.
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices.
- Knowledge of healthcare policies, documentation, and reporting procedures.
- Proficiency in computer skills, especially Health Management Information Systems (HMIS).

- Strong clinical decision-making and patient management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of the laws of Kenya, regulations, guidelines, and health schemes.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with staff, patients, and other stakeholders.
