Role Overview
This position leads the retail arm of the bank’s treasury sales effort, turning foreign exchange products into a reliable revenue stream while protecting margins through sensible cost control. Day to day, you will engage retail clients directly, structure tailored FX and hedging solutions, work closely with relationship managers to spot cross-selling openings, and execute trades accurately through the bank’s core banking system. Your work directly sustains client loyalty, opens new wallet share, and keeps the bank’s treasury operations aligned with both internal policy and regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the treasury sales plan for the retail segment, balancing revenue growth with disciplined expense management across the portfolio.
- Proactively manage a pipeline of client interactions, scheduling calls and meetings that deepen existing relationships and bring prospective clients into the bank.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities for treasury products among current and new customers, coordinating with retail relationship managers and investment banking teams to present unified FX solutions.
- Design customised foreign exchange offerings for specific client segments and sectors, responding to distinct cash flow, hedging, and liquidity needs.
- Market core treasury products—particularly spot FX and forwards—to retail clients, clearly articulating how these instruments meet their objectives.
- Ensure all FX transactions are booked promptly and correctly in the core banking system (K+), with a clear eye on operational accuracy.
- Act as an internal resource on FX procedures and best practice, advising colleagues and business units on market developments, pricing nuances, and transaction handling.
- Monitor market trends and emerging revenue opportunities, alerting relevant teams to news and shifts that could impact risk or profitability while staying fully compliant with bank policies and regulatory rules.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field; a master’s degree in management or a business discipline is a distinct advantage.
- ACI Dealing Certificate is mandatory for this role.
- Minimum three years of direct treasury sales experience, with demonstrated ability to generate revenue from FX products.
- At least two years of experience embedded in retail banking operations or client-facing retail environments.
- Strong commercial acumen, proven over at least three years, with a track record of spotting and capitalising on market opportunities.
- No less than two years of practical working knowledge of Reuters and Bloomberg trading platforms; deeper fluency with these tools is a plus.
