Job Description

Role Overview

This position sits at the intersection of corporate banking and treasury, with the mandate to grow revenue by selling foreign exchange and derivative solutions to corporate clients. On a day-to-day basis, the role involves active client calling, structuring tailored hedging transactions, booking trades through the bank’s dealing systems, and working closely with internal teams to ensure smooth execution and compliance. Success here directly supports the bank’s broader treasury strategy by expanding the corporate sales portfolio while protecting profitability through careful risk and cost management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the corporate treasury sales plan within the financial services and treasury framework, focusing on meeting revenue targets and controlling costs across the portfolio.
  • Develop and sustain long-term, strategic relationships with corporate clients, suppliers, internal stakeholders, and line managers to generate cross-selling opportunities and build tailored treasury solutions.
  • Proactively plan and conduct client calls—both prospective and existing—to understand commercial needs and deliver a consistent, high-quality service that supports customer retention.
  • Drive new and recurring revenues for corporate banking by promoting and structuring products such as Spot FX, Forwards, Options, Swaps, and Delivery vs Payment (DvP) transactions.
  • Design custom sales approaches for different client segments, identifying sector-specific requirements and converting them into profitable treasury transactions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely booking of all forex trades through the bank's core banking system and electronic trading platforms.
  • Monitor market trends and economic developments to uncover revenue streams, and promptly communicate relevant information to colleagues and clients to manage risk and maximise gains.
  • Guide staff on foreign exchange operations and best practice, while ensuring all trading and sales activities comply with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Hold an ACI Dealing Certificate; a master’s degree in a relevant discipline is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of three years’ hands-on experience in treasury sales within banking or financial services.
  • At least two years’ experience in corporate banking operations and product knowledge, with a clear understanding of how treasury solutions serve corporate clients.
  • At least three years’ commercial awareness, evidenced by the ability to spot and act on business opportunities.
  • Experience in trading or structuring foreign exchange derivatives, including forwards, swaps, and options, for a minimum of two years (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Reuters and Bloomberg platforms is highly desirable.
