Role Overview
This position sits at the center of Airbel's external and executive-facing communications, ensuring that the team's research, innovations, and strategic direction are presented clearly and persuasively to funders, board members, and senior leadership. Day to day, the Coordinator prepares briefings and materials for the CRIO's most consequential meetings, orchestrates the Advisory Board's semi-annual gatherings, and keeps Airbel's website, LinkedIn, and media outreach current and on-message. The work matters because Airbel's ability to secure support and influence decisions depends on its story being told consistently, accurately, and with impact across every audience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the CRIO for internal and external meetings by assembling agendas, pre-reads, talking points, and slide decks, while gathering input from colleagues to ensure every document is current and strategically aligned.
- Track follow-up items from leadership meetings and maintain accountability for commitments, keeping deadlines visible and progress documented.
- Own the full lifecycle of the Advisory Board's biannual convenings, from setting agendas and producing briefing packs to coordinating logistics and driving post-meeting actions and Board communications.
- Build and maintain a reusable library of fundraising materials that articulate Airbel's core value proposition, and tailor those materials for individual donors or funding conversations—primarily for the CRIO, with support for other senior leaders when needed.
- Collaborate with fundraising partners to keep pitch decks, reports, and donor-facing content aligned in quality, messaging, and timeliness.
- Lead a refresh of Airbel's website as an early priority, ensuring it accurately portrays the current portfolio, team, and impact while following brand standards.
- Manage Airbel's LinkedIn presence by creating a realistic content calendar, writing and publishing posts, and tapping subject-matter experts for specialized stories.
- Coordinate earned-media efforts by giving external consultants and internal communicators the context, content, and direction they need to pitch stories and secure speaking opportunities.
- Incorporate AI tools into daily workflows for drafting, research, and content production, and stay open to experimenting with new applications as they emerge.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 4–6 years of experience in communications, strategic engagement, or a related discipline, ideally supporting senior leaders in research, policy, innovation, or humanitarian settings.
- Proven ability to translate technical or specialized work into clear, compelling narratives for audiences without a background in the subject matter.
- Strong writing and editing skills across executive briefings, donor pitch decks, web content, social posts, and media materials.
- Exceptional organizational capabilities, with a record of juggling multiple workstreams, coordinating cross-team inputs, and keeping complex processes on schedule.
- Experience with earned media, including a working understanding of how stories are developed, pitched, and placed, so external specialists can be managed effectively.
- Hands-on experience managing a brand's digital presence across web and social platforms, including comfort with content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal.
- Demonstrated use of AI tools in professional communications work—whether drafting, research, or content production—along with a willingness to keep learning.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate productively with senior leaders, technical experts, and colleagues across different cultures and time zones.
