Job Description

Role Overview

This role leads commercial performance across a cluster of three Accor-managed hotels spanning Kenya and Rwanda, with a focus on turning market data into decisive pricing, inventory, and distribution actions. Day to day, you will analyse booking pace, competitor behaviour, and demand shifts to shape revenue strategy, then work alongside General Managers and commercial leaders to put those strategies into practice. Your work directly influences the financial health of each property, protecting rate integrity and market share while driving sustainable profit growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and execute revenue strategies across the cluster to improve RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, and overall profitability against budget and market potential.
  • Track demand patterns, booking windows, channel performance, and competitor rate movements to adjust pricing, availability, and restrictions in real time.
  • Oversee all distribution channels, including direct, online travel agents, and corporate accounts, to increase direct bookings and lower acquisition costs.
  • Lead the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning by modelling revenue scenarios and providing commercial teams with clear, actionable projections.
  • Coach and manage revenue and reservations staff, setting performance standards and embedding best-practice procedures for pricing, inventory control, and upselling.
  • Benchmark each property against its competitive set and market indices, producing regular performance reviews that highlight opportunities and risks.
  • Partner with Accor’s corporate commercial and revenue teams to ensure local strategies align with brand-wide pricing frameworks, promotions, and system requirements.
  • Identify and grow ancillary revenue streams across meetings and events, food and beverage, rooms, and other profit centres.
  • Maintain data integrity across revenue management, property management, and business intelligence tools so decisions are grounded in reliable, consistent information.
  • Foster a culture of analytical curiosity and commercial accountability, encouraging proactive idea generation across the cluster.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Revenue Management, or a related discipline; a formal revenue management certification is a strong plus.
  • At least 5–7 years of progressive revenue management experience, ideally within international hotel brands operating at a multi-property or cluster level.
  • Minimum 2 years managing revenue operations across more than one property simultaneously.
  • Hands-on familiarity with Accor property and revenue systems, including Opera or equivalent PMS and business intelligence platforms.
  • Prior experience working in East African hospitality markets is highly advantageous, particularly within Kenya or Rwanda.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with confidence translating complex data into straightforward commercial recommendations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and building trust across diverse, multicultural teams.
  • Professional fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
