Job Title: Pediatric Clinical Officer
Job Summary
Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to neonates, infants, children, and adolescents. This role involves diagnosing and managing a variety of pediatric conditions, administering treatments, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of your patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Excellent Patient Care: Promptly address patient and family concerns. Perform thorough assessments, including medical history and physical examinations for pediatric patients.
- Diagnose and Manage Conditions: Diagnose, manage, and develop individualized care plans for pediatric illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions. Provide emergency care and stabilization as needed.
- Educate and Counsel Families: Educate parents and caregivers on child health, development, nutrition, and preventive care. Support families in managing chronic conditions and coordinating follow-up care.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care. Refer patients to specialists or inpatient services when necessary.
- Stay Current and Improve Quality: Keep up-to-date with pediatric best practices, protocols, and guidelines to ensure the highest standard of care.
Qualifications & Requirements
- At least 1 year of post-training experience in Pediatrics.
- A Higher National Diploma in Pediatrics (or equivalent advanced pediatric qualification).
- A Basic Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery (or recognized equivalent).
