Role Overview
You will act as the primary everyday point of contact for clients, ensuring every interaction with the firm is smooth, accurate and professional across its investment and wealth management offerings. Day to day, the role involves onboarding new clients, managing account records, answering queries, coordinating transactions such as maturities and withdrawals, and supporting the advisory team with analysis and documentation. By delivering disciplined, discreet and reliable service, you help protect client trust and keep the firm’s administrative and operational workflows running without friction.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end onboarding experience for clients investing in Money Market Funds, Equities, Pensions, local fixed income and international investment products, including collecting and verifying all required documentation.
- Serve as a dependable day-to-day contact for clients, responding to queries promptly and escalating sensitive or high-risk matters such as complaints, complex transactions or potential service failures to the appropriate director or department.
- Collaborate with financial consultants and internal operations, finance and wealth advisory teams so that client instructions, account updates and transaction requests are processed accurately and within agreed timelines.
- Proactively monitor investment maturities and short-term placements, notify clients ahead of key dates, and guide them through rollover, withdrawal and redemption procedures while verifying receipt of funds where applicable.
- Prepare and issue accurate client statements and maintain up-to-date records for assets under management and all client correspondence.
- Support the Wealth Advisory team during client engagements by preparing investment simulations, portfolio analysis and other decision-support tools.
- Maintain complete, organised audit trails and client documentation, ensuring every interaction follows approved policies and regulatory requirements while exercising strict confidentiality.
- Identify recurring service issues and gather client feedback, recommending practical improvements and supporting process or automation initiatives that enhance the overall client experience.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Commerce, Investment Management or a related discipline.
- Three to five years of direct client service experience within investment management, wealth management, financial services or insurance; experience serving investment or wealth management clients is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience with client onboarding, account administration, transaction processing and client relationship management.
- Relevant professional qualifications in finance, investment or customer service will be considered an added advantage.
- A solid understanding of investment and financial products, as well as the operational and regulatory steps required to open and maintain client accounts.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with a high degree of discretion.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort working with client management or investment administration platforms.
- A driven customer-service mindset, including the poise and professionalism needed to handle demanding clients and resolve their concerns effectively.
