Red Planet Foodstuff Manufacturing LLC is seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to join its finance team in KEZAD, Abu Dhabi. The role is suited to an accounting professional with strong experience in general accounting, cost and inventory accounting, financial reporting, and manufacturing environments.
The successful candidate will support key financial activities including month-end closing, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and variance analysis. Experience with food manufacturing, FMCG, or production environments will be an advantage, along with knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT, and Corporate Tax.
The position also requires strong ERP and accounting systems experience, advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and the ability to support accurate financial reporting and audit preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage general, cost, and inventory accounting activities.
• Support month-end closing and account reconciliation processes.
• Prepare and support financial reporting and analysis.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and variance analysis.
• Prepare financial information and documentation for audit requirements.
• Work with ERP and accounting systems to maintain effective financial processes.
• Support ERP implementation activities where required.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA, or an equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing.
• Food manufacturing, FMCG, or production experience is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of general, cost, and inventory accounting.
• Good knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT, and Corporate Tax.
• Experience with ERP and accounting systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial reporting skills.
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and variance analysis.
