Job Title: Food & Beverage Production Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Food & Beverage Production Assistant to join our catering team. This role is ideal for an individual with prior experience in a school or healthcare setting who thrives in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. The successful candidate will prepare and serve meals, maintain high hygiene standards, and contribute to a positive dining experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and production of food items according to established recipes and portion controls.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas in compliance with health regulations.
• Handle, store, and rotate food supplies to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
• Serve meals to customers (students, patients, or staff) with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Work independently during assigned shifts, following daily production schedules and instructions.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service and timely meal delivery.
• Adhere to all food safety protocols, including proper temperature control and allergen management.
• Report any equipment malfunctions, supply shortages, or safety hazards to the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Food & Beverage Production or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Valid Food Handler's Certificate.
• 1–2 years of experience in catering, preferably in a school or healthcare setup.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• A team player with a proactive and positive attitude.

Skills & Attributes

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and safe food handling practices.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
