Role Overview
This role sits at the heart of our experiential division, where you will turn ambitious client ideas into unforgettable outdoor hospitality moments—from private luxury camping under the stars to high-end corporate retreats and large-scale activations. You will be the bridge between the business development pipeline and the operations team, owning every stage of the client journey from first conversation to signed contract and seamless handover. Your work directly shapes our reputation as a premium provider of bespoke experiences across East Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively source and nurture new business opportunities by building credible relationships with destination management companies, safari operators, corporate decision-makers, and high-net-worth individuals across the region.
- Translate client goals and inspirations into structured, commercially sound event concepts that match our luxury positioning and operational strengths.
- Act as the single, dependable point of contact for clients during the sales and planning phase—clarifying expectations, answering questions, and reinforcing trust through clear communication.
- Present our capabilities confidently to corporate and travel partners, demonstrating how our operational reliability translates into seamless, elevated guest experiences.
- Work side-by-side with the Business Development Administrator to refine pricing models, review contracts, and ensure all commercial details are accurate and aligned before any commitment is made.
- Coordinate a detailed, well-organised handover to the Operations Coordinator, ensuring every creative, logistical, and client-specific requirement is captured and understood.
- Track sales pipelines, follow up on leads methodically, and maintain a consistent flow of qualified opportunities that align with our brand and capacity.
- Visit prospective sites and venues across rugged or remote landscapes to assess feasibility and strengthen your own understanding of what makes each event location special.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in business development or event curation within luxury hospitality, experiential marketing, high-end tourism, or a closely related field.
- A proven network of relevant contacts in Kenya—especially among DMCs, corporate procurement/HR teams, luxury lifestyle brands, or PR and communications agencies.
- Solid commercial acumen, including the ability to calculate project margins, prepare detailed costings, and build compelling proposals that protect both profitability and quality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong presentation skills and the confidence to negotiate with senior stakeholders.
- A collaborative mindset and a reputation for reliability—you follow through on commitments and keep every teammate informed.
- True comfort with outdoor life, including periodic travel to remote or challenging field locations; this is not an occasional requirement but a core part of how this role operates.
- Self-motivated and organised, able to manage multiple prospects and events simultaneously without losing attention to detail.
What We Offer / Why Join
You will receive a competitive base salary complemented by performance-linked incentives that reward the quality and consistency of the business you bring in. This is a rare chance to shape flagship experiences in some of Kenya’s most iconic and beautiful locations, working within a supportive team that values initiative and long-term growth. For the right person, this role opens a clear path toward senior leadership within the division, with increasing ownership over strategic direction and major client relationships.
