Job Description
Role Overview
Support the delivery of hands-on clinical training by preparing simulation spaces, configuring lifelike manikins and medical equipment, and ensuring the technology works reliably during learning sessions. This role helps learners practise clinical procedures in a realistic environment while keeping simulation equipment safe and ready for use.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up simulation rooms, manikins, clinical props, and equipment to meet the needs of scheduled training sessions.
- Run simulation software and configure manikin functions, including physiological responses appropriate to each exercise.
- Apply moulage and other mock injuries to create realistic scenarios for learners.
- Operate audio-visual systems used to record or observe simulation activities.
- Carry out routine maintenance, calibration, and functional checks on manikins and medical devices.
- Identify faults, troubleshoot equipment issues, and arrange repairs with manufacturers when necessary.
- Show learners how to use simulation equipment safely and handle it correctly.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Engineering, Medical Technology, or a closely related field.
- At least three years of experience working with medical equipment or in a clinical skills laboratory.
- Training or certification in the use, maintenance, or operation of medical equipment.
