Role Purpose

We are seeking a professional and technically proficient Barman to anchor our bar operations. In this role, you will be the face of our beverage service, responsible for creating an inviting atmosphere while delivering a high standard of mixology. Your duties will range from the precise preparation of classic cocktails and specialty drinks to the meticulous management of bar stock and hygiene. We are looking for a candidate who can balance speed and accuracy during peak hours with a dedicated focus on guest engagement and responsible alcohol service.

Functional Responsibilities

Mixology & Beverage Excellence

• Prepare, garnish, and serve a wide array of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standardized recipes.

• Demonstrate expertise in mixing cocktails, pouring spirits, and presenting wines and beers with professional flair.

• Ensure consistent portion control and quality checks for every drink served.

• Maintain a high pace of service during busy shifts without compromising on drink presentation or accuracy.

Bar Operations & Inventory Management

• Oversee the daily setup and breakdown of the bar area, ensuring all tools and glassware are sanitized and organized.

• Monitor stock levels in real-time, reporting shortages and assisting in regular physical stock counts and reconciliations.

• Manage the receiving and storage of beverage supplies to maintain product quality and minimize wastage.

• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations at all times.

Customer Engagement & Financial Accountability

• Welcome guests warmly and provide expert recommendations based on their flavor preferences.

• Process customer payments accurately and assist in the daily reconciliation of bar takings.

• Handle customer feedback and special requests with courtesy and professional judgment.

• Maintain detailed records of sales and wastage to ensure full accountability for bar transactions.

Professional Requirements

Background & Experience

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Mixology, or a related academic field.

• Proven Tenure: At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within a reputable bar, hotel, or restaurant.

• Technical Mastery: Strong knowledge of spirits, wines, and contemporary cocktail preparation techniques.

Core Competencies

• Service Orientation: A natural ability to engage with diverse guests and build a welcoming environment.

• Resilience: Ability to maintain composure and efficiency in a high-pressure, fast-paced setting.
