Role Overview

This attachment program places you at the centre of a working innovation ecosystem, where each day involves tackling real tasks alongside experienced mentors and peers. You will move beyond theory by contributing to ongoing projects, attending skill-building sessions, and applying what you learn to actual deliverables that matter to the organisation. The programme runs from early September to late November 2026, giving you a structured chance to build portfolio-worthy work and a professional network in Kenya’s tech and creative scene.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and project reviews to align your work with team goals.
• Complete assigned tasks in your focus area – whether software development, design, content creation, or community engagement – under the guidance of a dedicated mentor.
• Document your progress, challenges, and solutions in a weekly log to demonstrate your learning journey.
• Collaborate with other attachés on a cross-functional capstone project that addresses a real need of the hub’s community.
• Attend and contribute to at least two workshops per week covering technical, professional, or entrepreneurial topics.
• Prepare a final presentation that showcases your key achievements, skills gained, and project outputs to the team and external stakeholders.
• Assist in organising or facilitating hub events, meetups, or hackathons to gain hands-on event management experience.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a university or college, or a recent graduate (within the last 12 months) in a field relevant to technology, business, design, or communications.
• Demonstrable foundational skills in at least one of the following: programming (e.g., Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS), digital design (e.g., Figma, Adobe Suite), content writing, data analysis, or community management.
• Strong willingness to learn, ask questions, and accept feedback – no prior professional experience required, but curiosity matters.
• Ability to commit to the full 12‑week programme from 7th September to 27th November 2026, with availability for a minimum of 30 hours per week, primarily during standard business hours.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and preferably Swahili.
• Access to a personal laptop and a stable internet connection for remote or hybrid activities as needed.
