Role Overview

This role supports evidence-based planning by turning data into usable insights. Their work helps the organisation allocate resources wisely, monitor service delivery, and design strategies grounded in real evidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather numerical and narrative information from internal records, field visits, and other approved sources, checking that the data is complete and reliable.
  • Examine datasets to uncover trends, relationships, and economic implications, then prepare written reports and presentations for decision-makers.
  • Carry out economic assessments and help build strategies based on the results.
  • Supply data, analysis, and recommendations for feasibility studies and service delivery surveys.
  • Help draft development plans by providing evidence, reviewing assumptions, and aligning proposals with organisational priorities.
  • Keep statistical databases current by adding new entries, removing duplicates, and correcting inconsistencies.
  • Pull statistical information on a set schedule or when requested, formatting it for planning and reporting purposes.
  • Design and execute research projects and surveys, including questionnaire preparation, data collection, and summarisation of findings.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Economics and Mathematics, Economics and Finance, Economics and Statistics, or a comparable field from a recognized institution.
  • Competence in computer applications, such as spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and tools used for statistical analysis and reporting.
  • Strong numerical and analytical abilities, with the capacity to interpret data and communicate findings clearly.
  • Careful attention to detail when handling figures, records, and database updates.
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues on research, surveys, and planning tasks while also working independently.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for producing reports and explaining technical results.
  • The specification does not set a minimum number of years of experience; appointment depends on the degree and computer proficiency requirements.
