Job Description

Role Overview

This position sits at the centre of the commercial data engine: you keep customer, outlet, route, pricing and product records clean, current and trustworthy across the sales force automation, ERP and CRM platforms the business runs on. Day to day you are fielding setup requests and data queries from sales, customer service and distribution teams, chasing down mismatches between systems, and making sure the route and territory structures in the system actually mirror how the field team is organised. When this data is right, sales reps can execute, planners can trust their territory maps, and commercial leaders can make calls on numbers that hold up — which is exactly why the role carries real weight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the accuracy, completeness and consistency of customer, outlet, route, pricing and product records across SFA, ERP and CRM environments, treating data quality as a standing accountability rather than a one-off task.
  • Run scheduled audits and reconciliation exercises to catch duplicates, gaps and mismatches before they reach the field or feed into reporting.
  • Handle incoming change requests — new customer creation, record updates, route reassignments, pricing adjustments — within agreed turnaround times so new accounts and territories go live without slowing down sales execution.
  • Keep territory and route hierarchies aligned to the real-world structure of the sales team and the distribution model, so the SFA platform reflects how the business actually sells.
  • Apply internal data standards and governance rules consistently, maintaining audit trails and handling customer information in line with regulatory and segmentation requirements.
  • Act as the first port of call for data-related issues raised by sales, customer service and distribution, working with IT, commercial and digital colleagues to diagnose and close out discrepancies and system faults.
  • Structure data so that BI and analytics teams can build commercial reporting, territory plans and performance dashboards without rework.
  • Identify bottlenecks in master data workflows and drive simplification through automation or system enhancements, partnering with the Group Office Master Data team and contributing to projects that improve data flow between SFA and ERP.
  • Work across Sales, Marketing, Distribution, IT and Finance on cross-departmental initiatives that touch customer data or sales tools, flagging any data problems that could undermine route-to-market effectiveness.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Data Management or a comparable field.
  • Four to five years spent managing customer, product, route or pricing master data, ideally within FMCG, CPG or a bottling environment.
  • Hands-on experience with an SFA platform such as Salesforce, with a clear understanding of how that system supports field execution.
  • Demonstrated exposure to working alongside sales, marketing, supply chain and finance stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel ability — complex formulas, pivot tables and lookups — plus the confidence to maintain large datasets accurately enough for reporting and analysis.
  • Experience with SQL, Power BI or Tableau is valued but not essential.
  • Comfort using data workflow or ticketing tools such as ServiceNow or Jira to track and resolve requests.
  • Working knowledge of data integration fundamentals, including ETL concepts and APIs.
  • Sharp eye for detail, a process-driven mindset that can map and then improve a workflow, and the analytical instinct to spot trends and trace anomalies back to their source.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, a service-oriented approach to internal customers, and the ability to collaborate across functions and with field-based teams.
  • Solid organisation and time management, with the capacity to juggle competing requests against service level agreements.
  • Proactive problem-solving, personal ownership of data quality outcomes, adaptability in a fast-moving digital setting, and discretion when handling commercially sensitive information.

What We Offer / Why Join

  • Genuine cross-functional reach — your work connects Sales, Marketing, Distribution, IT and Finance, giving you visibility across the commercial operation.
  • Direct involvement in digital and system improvement projects, including work on SFA-to-ERP data flows alongside the Group Office Master Data team.
  • A role where data quality is treated as a business-critical function, so the improvements you make are visible in how the field team performs and how leadership makes decisions.
  • Exposure to a fast-changing, technology-driven environment where process automation and better data visibility are actively pursued.
