Role Overview
This position sits at the center of our Absence Management and Modified Duty Offsite (MDOS) programs, where you will coordinate every touchpoint between injured workers, nonprofit supervisors, clients, and internal teams. Day to day, you will verify work hours, maintain accurate payroll records, run check-in calls, and support return-to-work placements—all while ensuring that each case moves forward with precision and compliance. Your work directly strengthens our ability to deliver dependable support to employees and clients alike, making you an essential link in a process that requires both empathy and rigor.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary communication link among injured workers, nonprofit site supervisors, clients, and internal program staff using phone, email, and text to keep everyone aligned.
- Make scheduled reminder calls and conduct weekly check-ins with employees in the MDOS program, monitoring progress alongside nonprofit supervisors.
- Verify and accurately enter employee work hours into payroll systems, auditing related documents and maintaining meticulous records for every assignment.
- Support the Return-to-Work team with placement coordination, including preparing materials and assisting with orientation sessions when needed.
- Track and document performance metrics for program participants, flagging any concerns or follow-up items for supervisors and program leadership.
- Ensure all claim-related documentation is complete, compliant, and filed according to internal and regulatory standards.
- Deliver responsive, professional customer service to all stakeholders, handling inquiries and resolving issues with discretion and clarity.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Mid-level experience of 3–5 years in absence management, modified duty offsite (MDOS), or return-to-work program support.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to manage spreadsheets, correspondence, and scheduling efficiently.
- Demonstrated background in data entry, payroll or attendance tracking, and maintaining accurate, audit-ready records.
- Typing speed of 40+ words per minute preferred, along with prior administrative or claims support experience.
- Outstanding organizational skills with keen attention to detail, capable of multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a professional demeanor, strong confidentiality practices, and adaptability to changing program needs.
