Allen Freight is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join its finance team in Jebel Ali, Dubai. This role is well suited for candidates with a background in accounting who are eager to build their career in the freight forwarding and logistics industry.
The successful candidate will support daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, reconciliations, and financial record management. Experience in freight forwarding or logistics, along with knowledge of Zoho Books and UAE accounting practices, will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with daily accounting and financial operations.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
• Prepare and process invoices while maintaining accurate financial records.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support VAT-related documentation and ensure compliance with accounting procedures.
• Maintain organized financial records using Zoho Books and other ERP systems.
Requirements:
• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience.
• Experience in freight forwarding or logistics is preferred.
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, invoicing, and reconciliations.
• Experience using Zoho Books.
• Basic knowledge of UAE VAT and accounting practices.
• Good Microsoft Excel and ERP system skills.
• UAE work experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and reconciliations
• Zoho Books, Microsoft Excel, and ERP systems
• UAE VAT regulations and accounting procedures
