We are seeking a sharp, organized Accountant to lead the daily financial administration, cost tracking, and inventory validation for our hotel and event operations. Your primary objective is to maintain clean ledger records and enforce strict financial checks across high-volume food, beverage, and banquet service lines. This position connects day-to-day transactional processing with rigorous cost control; you will guide financial operations from early morning point-of-sale reconciliations and physical stock counts through to comprehensive monthly management reports. The role calls for an analytical numbers champion who understands the hospitality landscape and can smoothly plug revenue leaks while maintaining pristine audit trails.
Compile clear daily, weekly, and monthly financial performance summaries for management evaluation.
Organize and update comprehensive accounting ledgers dedicated to tracking hotel rooms, food outlets, and banquet bookings.
Prepare complete income statements, balance sheets, and specialized hospitality management reports.
Execute timely reconciliation of all incoming revenue channels including cash, mobile money, and credit cards.
Audit daily Food & Beverage (F&B) costs to ensure food wastage and unauthorized consumption are minimized.
Track raw material and beverage item utilization patterns across the kitchen, main bar, and individual event spaces.
Analyze variances between actual ingredient consumption and standard recipe card cost allocations.
Provide detailed cost-margin reports to support leadership when setting prices for hotel menus and event packages.
Lead routine, unscheduled physical stock takes for food ingredients, beverages, and event decorations.
Reconcile physical inventory counts against Point of Sale (POS) records and systematically investigate any variances.
Compute accurate monthly inventory valuation statements and track slow-moving or expiring store items.
Partner with the procurement and warehousing teams to streamline storage logistics and purchase order controls.
Manage the end-to-end accounts payable and receivable lifecycles, ensuring timely vendor and corporate client settlements.
Review incoming supplier invoices, generate customer receipts, and archive all supporting financial vouchers.
Operate and update the property’s accounting and hospitality management software platforms daily.
Conduct regular system data audits to safeguard the accuracy and integrity of entered financial profiles.
Enforce adherence to recognized accounting standards and internal hospitality cash-handling rules.
Organize and present financial ledgers and transaction schedules requested during routine internal and external audits.
Monitor operational expense trends and flag financial risks or transactional irregularities to senior management.
Professional Certification: CPA Part III or CPA Part IV certification is strictly mandatory.
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
Industry Experience: Proven, progressive experience handling books specifically within a hotel, restaurant, or busy event-hosting environment is a must.
Technical Skills: Strong familiarity with hospitality cost control workflows and proficiency in systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, Opera, or similar hospitality software.
Numerical Precision: Exceptional analytical and numerical skills paired with high attention to detail when compiling stock sheets.
Operational Insight: Deep understanding of back-of-house kitchen mechanics, recipe costing, and banquet resource sharing.
Integrity & Drive: Highly disciplined worker capable of operating independently to enforce financial policies firmly yet professionally with kitchen and service staff.
Diverse Operational Exposure: Master the unique, fast-paced financial dynamics of both property management and event logistics.
Skill Refinement: Expand your technical skill set across specialized hospitality POS platforms and F&B cost management strategies.
Career Growth: Advance your accounting career within a highly dynamic segment of the hospitality sector.
