Description:
A company based in JAFZA, Dubai is currently hiring a Accountant to join its finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, hands-on experience in financial operations, and familiarity with UAE VAT regulations and reporting standards.
This position is best suited for detail-oriented professionals with experience in accounting functions such as payables, receivables, reconciliations, and financial reporting, preferably within logistics or freight forwarding environments.
The selected candidate will contribute to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with internal accounting procedures and UAE financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and accounting standards
• Handle day-to-day accounting operations and journal entries
• Assist in monthly financial closing and reporting activities
• Coordinate with internal departments for financial data accuracy
• Support audit requirements and financial documentation processes
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2–4 years of accounting experience is required
• Experience in logistics or freight forwarding companies in Dubai is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and accounting procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Experience with Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or ERP systems is preferred
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to handle responsibilities independently and meet deadlines
• Immediate joiners will be preferred
