Accountant

Al Basel Cosmetics is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join its growing team in Sharjah. This is an excellent opportunity for finance professionals with UAE accounting experience who are passionate about maintaining accurate financial records and supporting business operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting functions, preparing financial reports, handling accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with UAE accounting standards. Candidates with strong analytical skills, ERP experience, and a background in the retail or wholesale sector are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting transactions and bookkeeping activities.

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Prepare invoices and maintain accurate financial records.

• Perform bank and account reconciliations.

• Maintain general ledger entries and accounting documentation.

• Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting activities.

• Monitor cash flow and support audit and compliance processes.

• Recommend improvements to accounting procedures and internal controls.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• UAE accounting experience, preferably in the retail or wholesale industry.

• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and general ledger management.

• Good understanding of UAE VAT and accounting standards.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

• ERP experience is an advantage.

• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.

• ACCA, CPA, or equivalent certification is an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of:

    • Bookkeeping, AP/AR, and general ledger management.

    • UAE VAT regulations and accounting standards.

    • Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and accounting software.
