We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented Revenue Assistant to maximize the yield of our short-term rental portfolio. Your primary objective is to engineer our revenue performance by monitoring real-time market fluctuations, refining OTA listing configurations, and deploying dynamic pricing strategies that drive maximum occupancy. This position bridges high-level data benchmarking with operational platform management; you will guide our listings from search rank optimization and seasonal promotion deployment through to performance reporting and conversion strategy. The role calls for a performance-focused individual who thrives on data trends and can seamlessly convert market insights into optimized booking revenue.
Areas of Accountability
Pricing Strategy & Yield Management
- Engineer and deploy dynamic pricing frameworks that adjust daily based on demand spikes, local seasonality, and live competitor benchmarking.
- Calibrate critical booking restrictions, including minimum stay requirements, lead-time buffers, and advance-purchase windows to protect revenue.
- Manage promotional campaigns across all channels—including seasonal discounts and loyalty programs—to capture target audience segments.
- Define and hunt for aggressive occupancy goals, adjusting inventory availability to meet monthly portfolio revenue targets.
Listing Optimization & OTA Health
- Audit and upgrade all digital assets on Airbnb, Booking.com, VRBO, and direct booking channels to ensure maximum search visibility.
- Enhance listing content quality, including high-impact titles, compelling property descriptions, amenity tags, and professional photography sequences.
- Maintain rigorous calendar integrity, ensuring zero-fault synchronization across all OTA platforms to eliminate double-bookings.
- Drive brand reputation by coordinating effective review-response workflows to bolster social proof and listing conversion.
Performance Analytics & Benchmarking
- Track and report on critical hospitality KPIs, specifically impressions, click-through rates (CTR), conversion ratios, RevPAR, and occupancy parity.
- Perform forensic-level analysis on underperforming units, identifying bottlenecks and proposing rapid-response solutions to boost yield.
- Conduct ongoing competitive market monitoring, analyzing localized events, holiday demand, and pricing volatility.
- Compile and deliver comprehensive monthly benchmarking reports detailing portfolio progress against local industry trends.
Strategic Collaboration
- Partner with the reservations team to refine pricing models based on real-time booking velocity and channel performance.
- Advise executive management on portfolio improvement opportunities, investment insights, and untapped revenue verticals.
Skills & Experience Required
Minimum Entry Criteria
- Professional Longevity: 2–3 years of hands-on experience in revenue management, reservation operations, or short-term rental (STR) portfolio management.
- Platform Fluency: Proven command of Airbnb, Booking.com, and other OTA back-end dashboards, including managing performance metrics and algorithmic rankings.
- Pricing Proficiency: Demonstrated experience using dynamic pricing SaaS tools like PriceLabs, Beyond Pricing, or similar revenue management systems.
- Analytical Foundation: Strong background in data analysis or operations, with a capability to transform raw booking spreadsheets into visual performance dashboards.
Operational Competencies
- Consultative Agility: Strong communication skills to report findings to management and translate data into operational decisions.
- Autonomous Drive: Highly disciplined and self-motivated, capable of juggling multiple listing optimizations with minimal direct supervision.
- Market Insight: Deep understanding of the hospitality landscape, specifically regarding how local demand patterns and events impact revenue cycles.
