Description:
Al Shamsi Group is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Dubai. This opportunity is ideal for accounting professionals looking to advance their careers while contributing to financial management, reporting accuracy, and operational excellence within a dynamic business environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting key accounting functions, including financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting activities, and day-to-day accounting operations. The role requires strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of financial processes and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review financial reports and accounting records
• Manage account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Monitor daily accounting operations and maintain compliance with company policies
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
• Ensure proper documentation and record maintenance for financial transactions
• Support VAT-related activities and regulatory compliance requirements
• Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and reporting support
Requirements:
• Experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, and accounting operations
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
• Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
• Knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance procedures
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines
• Strong knowledge of:
• Financial reporting and account reconciliations
• ERP systems and accounting software
• VAT compliance, budgeting, and financial analysis
