Description:
Tamas Projects is seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join its Abu Dhabi office in a full-time, on-site capacity. This opportunity is ideal for individuals looking to establish or advance their accounting career while gaining practical experience in a professional project-based environment.
The selected candidate will support daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, assist with project cost monitoring, and contribute to the smooth functioning of financial processes. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will receive guidance and hands-on exposure to key accounting activities and reporting procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
• Record daily financial transactions accurately within accounting systems and maintain organized bookkeeping records.
• Assist with general ledger updates and support reconciliation activities to ensure financial accuracy.
• Review and organize supplier invoices, verify payment details, and assist with accounts payable processes.
• Prepare customer invoices and monitor outstanding payments to support accounts receivable activities.
• Track project-related costs and revenues to assist with budgeting and financial performance monitoring.
• Support bank reconciliations and assist with month-end closing procedures.
• Maintain accurate filing systems for financial documents and compliance records.
• Assist with VAT documentation, audit preparation, and regulatory record management.
Requirements:
• Entry-level to 3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Previous experience in Abu Dhabi or the UAE is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Strong computer literacy with excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• High level of professionalism and confidentiality when handling financial information.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Microsoft Excel and general office applications
• Basic accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures
• Accounting software and financial record management systems
• Experience within construction, engineering, or project-based organizations will be an advantage.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Arabic language skills are considered an added benefit
