Minimum Requirements (Likely)

Applicants should:

  • Hold relevant academic qualifications (Bachelor’s or Master’s in Law, Finance, Economics, Communications, or related fields).

  • Have prior experience in capital markets regulation, enforcement, corporate communications, commodities, auditing, or policy development.

  • Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • Be familiar with Kenya’s financial markets, governance frameworks, compliance standards, and regulatory structures.

  • Show professionalism, integrity, and alignment with CMA’s mission of regulating and developing efficient capital markets in Kenya.

Role‑specific expectations:

  • Regulatory Framework & Enforcement: Policy drafting, compliance monitoring, and enforcement actions.

  • Corporate Communications: Media relations, stakeholder engagement, and brand positioning.

  • Market Development & Research: Data analysis, market insights, and growth strategies.

  • Commodities Oversight: Regulation of commodity markets and trading platforms.

  • Internal Audit: Risk assessment, systems review, and financial integrity assurance.
