Description:
Ektifa is seeking an experienced Senior Purchaser / Procurement Officer to join its team in Sharjah. This full-time opportunity is ideal for procurement professionals with a strong background in the poultry, feed, or agriculture sectors and a proven ability to manage sourcing activities, supplier relationships, and procurement operations.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient procurement of feed raw materials, veterinary supplies, farm consumables, and packaging materials. The role requires strong market awareness, negotiation expertise, and the ability to coordinate effectively with farms, feed mills, and operational teams to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Procure feed raw materials including corn, soybean meal, and feed additives
• Source veterinary products, farm consumables, and packaging materials
• Manage supplier relationships and evaluate vendor performance
• Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and procurement terms
• Monitor commodity markets, feed ingredient trends, and pricing fluctuations
• Coordinate closely with farms, feed mills, and operational departments
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards
• Ensure timely procurement and uninterrupted supply of required materials
Requirements:
• 5–10 years of procurement experience within the poultry, feed, or agriculture industry
• Strong understanding of supply chain management and sourcing practices
• Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and analytical capabilities
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills
• Ability to analyze market trends and make informed purchasing decisions
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
