Description:
Pearson is seeking a detail-oriented Specialist, Content Producer to join its Professional Certification team. The role focuses on developing, reviewing, and maintaining high-quality examination content used in global certification and licensure programs delivered through Pearson VUE.
In this position, you will work closely with subject matter experts, project managers, and psychometric teams to design, review, and assemble exam content. You will ensure all materials meet strict quality standards, maintain accuracy, and comply with testing specifications. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain, and manage exam content using proprietary item banking systems
• Facilitate workshops with subject matter experts for exam item creation and review
• Assemble and validate computer-based examinations according to specifications
• Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards
• Evaluate exam items using statistical data and performance metrics
• Coordinate exam translation projects with vendors and clients
• Maintain secure handling of confidential and intellectual property materials
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including psychometrics and project management
• Manage multiple exam development projects with strict deadlines
• Conduct end-to-end testing and validation of exam systems
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred)
• 2+ years of professional experience preferred in content development or related field
• Strong attention to detail and quality assurance mindset
• Ability to learn technical systems and proprietary software quickly
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Strong knowledge of:
• Exam and content development processes
• Quality control and validation procedures
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
• Data management and item banking systems
• Project coordination and workflow management
• Confidentiality and intellectual property compliance
Additional Information:
• Remote position with up to 10% travel requirement
• Salary range: $70,000 – $75,000 annually
