The BBC World Service is the largest international broadcaster globally, delivering radio and television news, speech, and discussions in 29 languages. Its content reaches audiences through analogue and digital shortwave, internet streaming, podcasting, satellite, FM, and MW relays. In November 2016, the service announced its biggest expansion since the 1940s, adding Igbo, Nigerian Pidgin, Yoruba, and Amharic to its language offerings. As of 2015, the BBC World Service reached an average of 210 million people per week across TV, radio, and online. The English-language service is available 24 hours a day.
