Description:
GEMS Education is seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join its dynamic academic team starting in August 2026. This opportunity is ideal for an educator who is committed to inspiring students, encouraging artistic expression, and creating engaging learning experiences that support both academic and personal growth.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality Art lessons, nurturing creativity, and helping students develop confidence in their artistic abilities. Working within a collaborative school environment, the teacher will contribute to a culture of excellence while supporting student wellbeing and achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver the Art curriculum using strong subject expertise and engaging teaching methods
• Plan and conduct high-quality lessons that accommodate different learning styles and abilities
• Assess student performance and maintain accurate records of progress
• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Integrate technology and creative resources to enhance student learning
• Support student wellbeing and provide academic guidance when required
• Work closely with colleagues to develop educational resources and teaching initiatives
• Participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular school activities
• Maintain effective communication with parents and the wider school community
• Follow school policies, values, and professional standards at all times
Requirements:
• B.Ed or relevant degree with PGCE/PGDE or equivalent teaching qualification
• Proven experience teaching Art in a school environment
• Ability to teach across multiple educational levels is an advantage
• Creative, enthusiastic, and student-centered teaching approach
• Strong IT and communication skills
• Strong knowledge of:
• Art education methodologies
• Classroom management techniques
• Educational technology and digital learning tools
• Student assessment and progress tracking
• Curriculum planning and lesson development
