Job Description

Urgent Hiring: Experienced Farm Worker for High-Value Crops in Kajiado!

We're seeking a dedicated Farm Worker in Kajiado to handle crop production, farm operations, and post-harvest management in ASAL (Arid and Semi-Arid Land) areas. Join our team producing tomatoes, onions, watermelon, and fruit crops. If you have 2+ years in high-value crops farming and pest management, apply for this farm worker job in Kenya today!

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Farm Operations & Crop Production:

  • Perform daily farm activities: land preparation, planting, irrigation, weeding, fertilization, and harvesting.

  • Manage high-value crops like tomatoes, onions, watermelon, and fruit trees (propagation, planting, care).

  • Implement crop production plans, monitor health, and control pests/diseases.

  • Supervise casual workers on daily farm tasks.

Post-Harvest & Coordination:

  • Handle sorting, grading, packaging, storage, and delivery to local/Nairobi markets.

  • Liaise with Farm Manager for planning, weekly schedules, and bi-weekly reviews.

Record Keeping:

  • Track production, sales, inputs, purchases, invoices, and petty cash for farm budgeting.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years farm work experience in ASAL areas.

  • 1-2 years in high-value crops production (tomatoes, onions, watermelon, fruits).

  • Skills in fruit tree propagation, pest and fungal disease management, and guiding casual laborers.

  • Experience with crop management and farm record keeping.
